Setting: Walking to nearby YMCA with 4th graders
Me: Boys! Catch-up with the class!
no response
Me: Boys! Catch-up! Let's Go!
Boy 1: I don't even like ketchup.
Me: Fine, then mustard up! Move it!
Boy 1: I prefer Barbeque sauce, actually.
Boy 2: I'm more of a Worcestershire man myself.
Wow! Such logic! Although I must admit, "Catch-up with the class" sounds a bit better (and easier to say) than "Worcestershire up with the class!" or "Barbeque sauce up with the class!" for that matter! Gotta love it!

Katie...are you sure those boys aren't your long lost cousins or something?!?! Because that sounds like something you would say!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh that is just too much! How do you keep control after that?
ReplyDeleteI say "catch up" and mustard too! :) Love it!
