I've seen other bloggers do segments like this and I couldn't pass up sharing a moment with you that came about yesterday. Parenting, obviously, cause phrases to come out of your mouth that you may not have said before. Or ever heard anyone say before. Or should be said by anyone. Ever. With that introduction, please know that yesterday, I casually said the following phrase:
"I'll hold the pancake, you go potty."
Didn't see that one coming.
that is AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteIt's great, isn't it, to hear yourself from outside yourself? The other day, I heard myself say, "Rowan, don't lick the wall." What child licks the wall? My son, apparently. :) Thanks for sharing...at least I'm not alone.
ReplyDeleteSo funny....so true!
ReplyDeletehaha... i've had a few of those myself lately!!
ReplyDeleteDon't you also hate it when you find yourself saying things that you SWORE you would NEVER say to your own kids because you hated it when your parent's said it to you? What goes around comes around I guess!!
ReplyDeleteI said the exact same sentence to Bella two days ago, except it was a waffle instead of a pancake!
ReplyDeleteWe're crazy.
Ha, aren't those fun? A coupe weeks ago I said to Jett, "if you're not nice to Maggie, you can't help me do the laundry"! I won't be saying that when he's 15!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Easter!
