As I thought ahead to this post, I was reminded of my favorite musical condiments. I am choosing to honor my 'man' with their lyrical genius in place of my usual ramblings. So, without further ado...
(Note to reader: some lyrics have been removed as they have a touch too much 'Pepa')
Whatta man, Whatta man
Whatta mighty good man
I wanna take a minute or two, and give much respect to
To the man that's made a difference in my world
I know that aint nobody perfect
I give props to those who deserve it
And believe me y'all, he's worth it
So here's to the future cuz we got through the past
I finally found someone that can make me laugh
(Ha ha ha) You so crazy
I think I wanna have your baby
My man is smooth like Barry, and his voice got bass
A body like Arnold with a Denzel face
He's smart like a doctor with a real good rep
And when he comes home he's relaxed with Pep
He always got a gift for me every time I see him
A lot of snot-nosed ex-flames couldn't be him
He dresses like a dapper don, but even in jeans
He's a God-sent original, the man of my dreams
Yes, my man says he loves me, never says he loves me not
He always has heavy conversation for the mind
Which means a lot to me cuz good men are hard to find
A lover and a fighter and he'll knock another out
Don't take him for a sucker cuz that's not what he's about
Every time I need him, he always got my back
Never disrespectful, cuz his mama taught him that
Whatta man, Whatta man Whatta man
Whatta mighty good man

Happy Father's Day Russ!
Are you kidding me.....probably the best post I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!! And it is probably one of my favorite songs of ALL TIME!!!! Why can't y'all live closer to us? Happy Father's Day Russ!
Love this post!
Nice. Hope you had a Happy Daddy Day Russ. I know mine was good. Grant must have said "happy fathers' day daddy" like 10 times over the weekend. Trina came home Saturday night with a sandwich from Arbys and gave it to Grant to bring to me in the living room and upon handing it to me said, "happy fathers day daddy" and handed me the brown Arby's sack. I was like, "This is the best weekend EVER!"
Kids are definitely a blessing from God.
I love this...I never would have even thought of using that song for a post!!! BRILLIANT!!!
I agree with Lindsey...I wish you lived closer!!! I have an idea...you guys could just move to Memphis and you could live 2 hours from The Wheelers and 2 hours from me!!!!
Hilarious! Very creative! Happy Father's Day!
What a Dad Russ!!
We love you!
Happy Fathers Day
